Writer and showrunner Alena Smith has signed with WME for representation in all areas. The agency will work with Smith to further develop her approach to storytelling in film and television. Variety, October 2025.

Alena is an Executive Producer on FX’s upcoming limited series Cry Wolf, starring Olivia Colman and Brie Larson, created by Sarah Treem.  July 2025.

USC Comedy Festival

Alena Smith will appear alongside fellow writers and creators on the opening panel of the festival, “Can Comedy be Automated?”, an investigation into the role A.I. plays in  comedy writing. USC School of Cinematic Arts, March 28, 2025.
